A Tidy Home Ensures An Open For Inspection Is "Welcoming"
Your home should be kept neat and tidy during the period of inspections.

A home should create an inviting atmosphere by ensuring the arrangement of furniture is in a comfortable position.

We suggest utilising fresh flowers, indoor plants or paintings as they always brighten up a home.

We also encourage all potential sellers to pack up what they no longer require in their home because "less is more" when it comes to home decor.

At First National Ipswich we understand that many times we are selling a family home and that is lived in and loved so we give as much notice to our sellers as possible when arranging inspections.

Repairs Can Make A Big Difference
Most sale contracts in Queensland will include a building and pest clause and we will work as a team to make sure we breeze through all contract conditions.

In preparation for a sale we suggest that all minor repairs are completed.

Sticking doors and windows, loose doorknobs, faulty plumbing, peeling paint or faulty electricals may affect your sale.

Some owners choose to do a pre sale building and pest inspection with a company of their choice but as part of our service we will give advice on where your money is best spent.
Let The Sun Shine In
Brighter is certainly better when it comes to letting  plenty of natural light into your home.

Nothing improves atmosphere more than brightness.

On a dull day it is advisable to switch lights on prior to the arrival of prospective purchasers.

Everyone loves a nice subtle candle or two and curtains should be opened where possible.
Make Them Comfortable
A warm, comfortably heated home on cold days adds a feeling of cosiness and invites you to stay longer.

On a hot day don't forget to turn on the air conditioning or fan (or simply let the breeze flow through).
Open For Inspections: Three Is A Crowd
Avoid having too many people present during inspections.

First National Real Estate agents are familiar with and understand the buyer requirements and can therefore better emphasise the features of your home in line with buyer needs and priorities.

Whilst we don't like to "throw owners out of their homes during an inspection" it is encouraged for sellers to go for a short drive or walk while we conduct inspections.
